Ashampoo, one of the leading Internet-based companies worldwide in the field of software development, sales and web portal sites, built a lot of functionality into its Photo Commander application for Windows. If you frequently work with images, this application will put a big smile on your face. You can use it to manage your large collection of images, to view the images in said collection, to convert images from one format to another, to edit the images of your choosing, and to publish any images you want.

To run Photo Commander on your PC, it must meet the following system requirements: 256MB of RAM memory or more, 180MB of free disk space, graphic-card with a resolution of at least 1280x800, Windows operating system (anything from Windows XP to Windows 8).
A setup wizard will help you install Photo Commander on your Windows-powered machine. When you first launch the application, you will be presented with a Welcome Wizard that will let you associate the application with the file formats of your choice, pick one of several supported languages, and pick a layout for the interface.

There are two main ways to customize the application’s interface – a very user friendly interface, mind you. As mentioned above, you can pick a layout for the interface when presented with the Welcome Wizard. You can pick one of three layouts: Manage/Organize, Photo-Edit, and Filmstrip. You can further customize how the interface looks with skins – support for skins is provided. And since we’re talking about the interface, it must be mentioned that when you launch the application you will be presented with a help screen that provides a brief presentation of the interface.

From a functionality point of view, you can expect to get the following from Photo Commander: support for numerous image formats, support for multiple languages, support for skins, manage and organize your collection of images, view the images in your collection, edit images (add effects, crop images, remove noise, and more), create calendars/collages/greeting cards, convert images from one format to another, upload images to social networks, and more.

Photo Commander is free to try for a trial period of 40 days – that is if you request the 30-day full version key on top of the existing 10-day no questions asked trial.

Photo Commander is a must have for anyone who wants to efficiently manage a large collection of photos.

Pros

The system requirements for running Photo Commander are quite low. Lots of wizards: for installing the application, for getting started with it, for accessing its functionality. The user friendly interface can be customized. You can use Photo Commander to view, manage, convert, edit, and publish images. If you request a 30-day extension, you can use Photo Commander for free for a total trial period of 40 days.

Cons

None that I could think of.
